What you should know
The processes and management systems in the entertainment industry can be significantly different from conventional construction procurement. There may also be differences in management approach within the industry.
Recognising these differences, the following section illustrates how CDM roles and duties can be applied to existing common management arrangements and processes in the four main industry sub-sectors:
- TV/film and broadcasting
- Theatre and performing arts
- Live events (festivals, music, sport, cultural events)
- Exhibitions/trade fairs and conferences
Note: for some events, there may be a read-across between sub-sectors eg between outside broadcasting and live events.
