Sanders (Disc, Bobbin and Belt)
Bobbin sanders have an adjustable cylindrical guard that should be adjusted to enclose the maximum amount of sander possible:
Belt Sanders are used for sanding large objects such as table tops. The main risk is from ejection.
Disc sanders must have the table adjusted as close as possible to the disc. The workpiece should also be placed in such a position that the rotation of the disc pushes it down into the table rather than flicking it up, for example, on the right hand side of the table for a clockwise rotating disc.
