There is widespread use of oxygen and fuel gases for welding, cutting etc in the shipbuilding and ship repair industry.

This guidance details the hazards, risks and control measures that need to be considered when using oxygen and fuel gases in shipbuilding and ship-repairing work. It is also relevant to similar work in boats, or large fabrication projects.

This guidance updates advice previously contained in internal guidance; however the messages and standards remain the same.
