This guidance sheet contains specific advice about electrical testing. It provides information about ways of avoiding injury during servicing and repair work to protect the health and safety of workers.

It is particularly for the electrical testing of domestic appliances such as washing machines, dryers, refrigerators/freezers, cooking equipment etc, normally operating from a 230 volt supply.

Specifically, it discusses risks and how a risk assessment can help dutyholders to avoid them, precautions that should be taken and what the law says.
