Bench grinder and linisher

The Problem

bench grinder and linisher

A mobile electrical contractor company had a small maintenance workshop in which the bench grinder and linisher were producing levels of 95dB.

The Solution

The bench grinder and linisher were moved from a metal cabinet and metal wall and placed on special pedestals that were mounted to the floor using rubber mounts.

This eliminated noise that was previously produced by vibrating cabinet and wall surfaces.

The Results

The noise level at the operator position reduced by 4dB, from 95dB to 91dB.

The Costs

£80 (2005 rates).
