Quality control of blood lead analyses
The table below lists laboratories that have made their performance in the UK National External Quality Assessment Scheme (UK NEQAS) known to the Health and Safety Executive (HSE). These laboratories are available to perform blood lead analyses.
HSE Medical Inspectors and appointed doctors are expected to use one of the laboratories on the list for measurement of blood lead under the Control of Lead at Work Regulations 2002.
Inclusion of a laboratory in the list does not imply HSE approval or accreditation
Queries about the performance of individual laboratories or enquiries from laboratories wishing to be included in the table below should be addressed to Kate Jones, Principal Scientist, Health and Safety Executive, Harpur Hill, Buxton, Derbyshire, SK17 9JN.
