Compressed air for removal of fish scraps
The Problem
An open pipe was used to direct compressed air to blow the fish scraps off a fish-filleting machine. The noise level associated with this was 102dB.
The Solution
The open pipe was replaced with a special stainless steel low noise blowing nozzle.
The Results
The noise levels were reduced by 23dB to 79dB and the blowing force was more than sufficient to keep the filleting machine free of scraps.
The Costs
£381 for nozzle and pipework.
