Safe use of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) at small commercial and industrial bulk installations
When the risks are properly identified and managed, LPG can be safely used as a fuel source for many applications. This information is aimed primarily at users of LPG to provide information and help to ensure it is used safely. Users may wish to consider recording information about their installation, such as the route of any pipework, risk assessments they may make and any maintenance undertaken. LPG users should also consider the structural stability of their workplace in case an escape of gas should occur which could lead to a fire or explosion. Further guidance on structural stability can be found in the Workplace health, safety and welfare ACOP . This site focuses on people using small bulk LPG installations, similar to the one below.
