Reducing Occupational Health Risks

A long term (five year) inspection strategy to reduce occupational health risks offshore and contribute to HSC/E’s Strategy for 2010 and beyond has been established. The inspection programme has been developed out of the Topic Programme 1 (TP1) inspection programme that ran from April 2003 until March 2007). 

The programme aims to:

1. Develop closer partnerships with industry and work through stakeholders.
2. Challenge duty holders to provide evidence of their management arrangements.
3. Raise the profile of occupational health risk control with senior managers.
