Regulatory impact assessments

The Health and Safety Executive, as with other government agencies and departments, is required to prepare Regulatory Impact Assessments for its proposals. HSE economists provide advice and support for this, including examining the rationale for government intervention, identifying potential options, and assessing costs, benefits and risks.
