Economics
The Health and Safety Executive, as with other government agencies and departments, is required to prepare Regulatory Impact Assessments for its proposals. HSE economists provide advice and support for this, including examining the rationale for government intervention, identifying potential options, and assessing costs, benefits and risks. Further information on HSE Regulatory Impact Assessments, together with copies of final RIAs are available from the Regulatory Impact Assessments website. Partial RIAs for proposals that are currently open to consultation may be accessed via the related consultative document.
